Sailor Xiao (pronounced shee'ou) is a product of my friend Himeno's mind. You can learn more about Xiao and her friends at Frozen Fire: Liquid Flame.

This is my second costume I've finished. I had a boatload of help from me mum-in-law, ~SleyTheDent. She is my coach and more moral compass. :giggle:

Anyway, the only things we didn't make here are the gloves (eBay) the wig ($14) and the boots (but we did put the stripes on them). Everything else we made. :heart: I am IN LOVE with this costume, and super super proud of it. The bodysuit was basically a nightmare, and it was a HUGE learning process for me and mum for working with 4-way stretch. Some parts, like the bow and collar, took two tries. Other stuff, like the arm guards, we nailed on the first try. Actually, we did the skirt twice too! Mum kind of did most of the second skirt though. :nod: I made all the accessories and there are close ups in my gallery.

The skirt is way too short on the short end. Seriously, my butt is hanging out all over the place. LOL

Oh well. ^_^

Hmm, love it!

Ok, so first thing I notice is belt; is it supposed to be a bit loose like that? I would imagine it to be just a bit more tighter so that it doesn't constantly bother one by falling down >_>;; *has horrible experience*

Also *reads descrip again* Oh, you already know about the skirt :blush: Did you use sewing patterns? (Well, I imagine you do, duh!) There are some sailor suit patterns that make life easier :)


Otherwise....I think I got nothing else xDD I think you did a very good job for being your second costume :wow: I think it was my third or fourth costume where I finally managed to work out the kinks in my costume making skills, design, sewing, etc. xDDD

I wonder what magical Silver Millenium era material the Senshi wear. The Starlights (well, non-Kakyuu) looked like they were wearing leather to me. Which is...odd...in its own right. So is the alternative material I could see the outfits being, latex (or PVC).
