I've been wanting to make one of these types of images for Astera for a while. On the plane from San Antonio, where I went to visit ~tsukinohoshi, I decided to start it. I am pretty happy with it over all. I like the lineart mostly, particularly the tiara and brooch. I used Prismacolors for the character and Photoshop for the BG and effects. Oh, and the GIMP too.
Yey Astera.
People on the plane were stopping in the isle to ask questions and the guy next to me actually asked me about Sailor Moon. Bad idea huh? I tried to restrain myself. :3 The best part was this little kid about maybe 5 that walked by and stopped dead in her tracks: "WOW that's BEAUTIFUL!" Totally made my day. ^_^
Everyone says the same thing when they see me coloring something. "Did you draw that?" No, I just sneezed and it showed up on the page. Honestly!
First of all, when I see something breathtaking, I will curse like a sailor.

Done.
Secondly, "No, I just sneezed and it showed up on the page." I'm gonna use that from now on. I've been asked that question so friggin' often at work it's not funny.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More

hahaha, yeah, I know about the "Did you draw that?" Question. It's even worse when they ask you while you're actually DRAWING it.
